Making an Impact with Bee-Happy Jerseys
PineRiders has always been about more than just the game—we play with purpose. One of the most exciting parts of our partnership with Bee-Happy Programs has been the overwhelming support for our Bee-Happy jerseys. Every purchase directly contributes to an incredible cause, helping raise awareness and funds for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families. Seeing our players and supporters proudly wearing these jerseys has been a powerful reminder of what community truly means.
We are aiming to raise $3,000–$8,000 in proceeds through this tournament to support Bee-Happy’s programs and future initiatives. To everyone who has purchased a jersey so far—thank you! Why We Do This
The PineRiders Organization has a mission that is bigger than softball. We believe in creating exceptional player experiences while giving back to the community. Every tournament we host, every cause we support, and every connection we build is about making a positive impact.
The Swing for the Spectrum Tournament is a perfect example of this. It’s not about competition—it’s about bringing people together, raising awareness, and supporting a cause that matters. Whether you’re playing, cheering, or contributing in any way, you are part of something meaningful.
Introducing the Busy Bee Experience!
New this year, we’re introducing the Busy Bee Experience, we've found multiple ways for individuals with IDD (Intellectual and Development Disabilities) or special needs and their guardians to get their time to shine on the field. We developed four distinct levels of interaction to accommodate varying degrees of physical ability for participation.
Here’s what you can expect:
🐝 Team Experience
Individuals who excel at giving high fives but may lack certain abilities, yet want to feel part of the team, will be assigned to sit on the bench with other players during a game.
🐝 Coaches Assistant
For those skilled in following instructions, we need assistance with retrieving bats for their team, celebrating major plays, and providing support.
🐝 Hit and Run Bases
If your Bee is energetic and coordinated, we'll pause an ongoing game to let them either hit a live pitch or off a tee and run the bases to home!
🐝 Home Run Derby
If you have a competitive Bee, we're organizing a "Hardest Hit" contest. Each Bee will have 3 attempts, and the one that hits the farthest wins!
